Besides the internet access, Maiznet provides a DVB-T broadcasting on the network. This service enables anybody to access most of the french DVB-T channels without using a TV set.
How to use MaizTNT
The most suited software to receive DVB streams on the network is VLC:it's a free software, existing on most platforms (Windows, Linux and MacOS). This software can be downloaded on VLC's website
First, you must make sure that your firewall allows VLC to access the network. Then, you can launch VLC and display the playlist by clicking on "View > Playlist". The channels list should be in the "Local network > Network streams (SAP)" section.
I can not see any "Network Streams" section!
Nevertheless, if you still can not access the channels list, you have to activate the SAP announces discovery service. So as to do this, click "Tools > Preferences" to access the settings page. Then, in the "show settings" box, select "all".
Then, in "Playlist > Service discovery", tick the "Network Streams (SAP)" box. At last, in the "SAP" sub-section, tick "SAP IPv4"
VLC is now well configured: save the changes, then launch it again. The channels list can be accessed in "Local Network > Network Stream (SAP)".
